Derek and I have completely overlooked the fact thatwe have a beautiful river running right through our town. So we packed up the family and off we went. The first place we found was perfecct. Most of it was super shallow and great for splashing a playing. The ground all around was super soft sand and there was a giant rock in the middle that could be sat on and jumped off. There was a deeper part that was a little scary with small kids. Poor Jude was small enought that it was lifting him up off his feet, but his daddy is good to stay close to him. Jude actually loved being lifted up off his feet by the current as long as someone was holding on, he thought it was very funny. Alice was content to splash and feel the mud with her fingers. We spent the end looking for rocks and skipping stones. It was so much fun and we will most certainly be doing thing again this summer!
