This is just a cute apron that I made that I am really proud of. It's super cute and girly and has a layer of tule sewed to it to make it extra fluffy. I adore it!

Happy Fathers day!!! Tjis year we made peanut butter cookies for all the dads and I let the kids help. And boy did they help. I let them do mixing, stirring, dumping, measuring, heck, they did just about all of the work. And they had a good time doing it to!
While Angie and I were making the cake the kids were interested for a minute but then they got bored and went to go make their on fun. It was all very quiet and we were thankful for all the uninterupted cake making time. After we finished the cake we went up stairs to check onthe kids and this is what we found. MESS!! MESS!! MESS!!! They had dumped every single toy inthe room and pushed the mattress and blankets all over the floor. A natural disaster had occured!! We just laughed though. We had ignored the kids for over an hour and they had a great time all by themselves so this is what we get. It acually is a lot messier then it looks. It only took us 10 minutes to clean it all up. We of course made the kids help and got the room looking spic and span. But still...some peoples kids right?

Happy Birthday Brian!!! Ace of cakes move over cause it's  my job to decorate the cake. Angie did a fabulous job of cooking it and then left me to decorate it. The theme was sonic(the Bowles boys favorite for now) I started with a chessy stencil. Then we very slowly put the icing on.

The kids were there to help of course. Although after awhile they got very bored and left to go upstairs(more on that later)
After about an hour we finished it. Pretty good if you ask me.
We sang Happy birthday and everyone dug in. We had such a good time making it and an even better time eating it! Wahoo!!

A hot day and a stinky dog. Time to whip out the soap and turn on the hose.  Although he didn't want it Duckets much needed it. Now he is all squeaky clean and it was a great afternoon activity for the kids. Just what I like.

OH geez, ALice has found my nail polish and she wants some bad! So I set up shop and started painting her nails. I let her pick the colors (she wanted red and blue) and started painting away. It was such a neat moment to paint her nails for the first time. And of course girly girl Alice was just in high heaven.

She has such tiny nails that I was really concentrating on her foot. So much that I was oblivious about what was going on around me.
 Then I noticed this.
Jude had gotten his own "colors" and was giving himself a little pedicure.  Doesn't it just look lovely.
Luckily he did a very good job of keeping it on his foot and not on the carpet.  My two little cuties!

OH good times are ahead. Summer is here and we are always jamm packed with thngs to do. This week our stake had a huge watery BBQ. There were bouncy houses with water, a dunk tank, and a huge slip and slide. We had so much fun. The kids bounced for about 1/2 an hour, then we dragged them to go eat. Next we all got to have snow cones. Then the best part. Someone had layed out a huge tarp and they covered it with soap and water and madeit so so so so slippery. Yu could run at it with all your might and then you would slide like you were on wheels. It took quite a bit of balance though and there was lots of falling down and ots of getting wet.  The kids were having a hard time getting much speed so I would run and push them. They would go flying!!! The laughed and laughed. Just loved it!

AH!! Our car!! It got shot! Derek and I came home from a afternoon at the splashpad and there were 2 kids in our yard shooting guns at cardboard boxes. Derek went over and asked them if they could do it somewhere else, on the condition that we have small kids and dogs and things we don't want getting ruined. Well later that night I went to the store to buy milk and I saw the crack but at night the crack looked like water droplettes. I figured that the sprinklers had just come on or something. I start driving the car and I hear all this creaking. I am looking around trying to find the sourse of the creaking and then I realize...my window isn't wet...IT'S BROKEN!! and there is a very obvious little bullet hole. I drove back home and searched the car and even found the BB that did it. I called the insurance and luckily they will handle it all.  Bt it has already been two weeks and the glass repair man is having a really hard time finding a replacement. It stinks big time.

Summer is here and our pool is finally open. And already we have gotten good use out of it. The kids love it, Derek and I love it, and we love that  it is such a quick easy activity. The kids have little pool ring and are just so empowered by them. They swim and jump and go all over the pool ithout any help. In fact they get mad at us if we try to help them. It is so much fun and we will be here tons!

Remember my river post? Well we had so much fun at the river except for the fact that when we were done we were all so sun drained that no one left the house for a week.  I did a little shopping and found a portable sun shelter and I LOVE IT!  It's this little half a tent and it will be perfect for the next time we go out into the world. I was really proud of myself because I put it together without any help. I left it up so the kids could see it after nap time and it has been a favorite of theirs. Just for fun I will put it up and we will read stories in it, or take it outside to just sit in. I can't wait to actually use it. Maybe this saturday!

For the last year or so Derek and I have been trying really hard to recycle. We don't have a collection service or anything in Saint George so we have to store it and sort it ourselves. We have two little milk crates that we fill up and about every week and a half we take it to the recycling bins. The kids love to come help and I love to let them.  I will usually get all the little things like paper and plastic wrappers and then I will let them help with bottles and cans. Jude is tall enough  that if I empty a crate he can stand on top of it and do put it in himself. Alice think she is big enough to do it herself but usually ends up with it coming back in her face( 3 picture from the left on the top.) And Jude always needs to look at what he has just thrown away. Then they both help me take the empty crates back to the car and we  all give each other high fives. What a cute way to help the planet!
Alice's hair is getting so long. Now it is long enough to play with and style all sorts of crazy ways.

My mom, Lita, and I went shopping over at Ross and the goofballs in us really came out. How could we resist? There were...
Fancy dresses
 Shmancy shoes
 Fandangled head accessories

 and this....? (count the toes)
Grandma and Grandpa took us all out for icecream! Delicious!!
