Moving is such a pain. This is our crazy Jenga house. Boxes stacked everywhere and hardly any room to move. It was raining all day so all our stuff got wet. Slowly and surely we have been getting everything in it's place. But this is just a picture of all the craziness.

Jude got to play with is cousins Ollie and Dexy and we had a wonderful living room picnic. It was so much fun.

So this is a little late but here is Alice's 5 month picture. I took them about a week ago which makes them about a week late. Well here she is in all her cutesness. Getting so big!

Andrea came over and we had so much fun. It was long overdue and everyone was glad that she came to play!

So this is Jude's new fun game. He pulls up a chair to the sink and starts playing with the water. He pours the water from one cup to another, he drinks it, he dumps it, and just has a grand time. It is my new favorite game because it keeps him occupied for a good chunk of time while I am packing. He makes a big mess but it is just water and right now free time I can use on packing is so worth it.

So Jude and I have been going to this park for awhile now and at first i hated it. It had alot of things to climb on that Jude couldn't really get so there wasn't much for him to do. But he has been practicing and practicing and watching all the big kids and he is getting good. Today for the first time he went across this bridge that they have and he also climbed up a rock wall. We are so proud of our big boy.

People with weak stomachs be warned! This video involves quasi-puking footage. You have been watned. With that said, we just discovered that Jude has one of the weakest stomachs that we have ever seen. Alice is just starting food and when Jude watches it he starts to puke. The first time we feed her Jude puked 5 times before we kicked him out and now we have to do it in a place he can't see. Also anytime Alice spits up Jude starts to retch, and it is kind of funny. At least to Derek and I. Well if you feel brave here is an example Ps-(At the end Jude is saying "No puke, no puke")

Alice is such a funny girl. For some reason she has chosen to express herself through raspberries. It will be 4 in the morning and she will be hungry and start rasberring away. It is much more prefferable to crying and is so funny to listen to because she really gets going. This video is a small example of what a funny cute quirk my Ali-boo has developed.

Jude stole my camera!
This is Alice's head. Some milk
A big cheesy grin.

and a racket(I kind of like this one)

So this is my 4th time moving and I thought I would just do what I always do. Nope, having a toddler in the mix changes everything. Jude of course had to help. At first he didn't get it, anytime I would start putting things in boxes Jude would run up and dump it with a "No fank you" (No thank you) He also didn't want me to build up the boxes. he just wanted them to lie flat on the floor and walk on them. Then when he figured out they could be made into boxes he was Ok with it, as long as he could be in it. Needless to say it has been interesting.Well here is Jude helping me pack.
Moving from a family of 3 to a family of 4 has been a whole lot easier then it's made out to be. Everyone just loves Alice. Today I sat her up on the couch and Jude came up to mug on her for a minute. He was really soft and kind and she didn't mind one bit. Jude always gets big smiles so I think it is safe to say Alice is fond of her big brother. Later on in that same day I was giving Alice some floor/tummy time and Duckets came over to visit. He was smelling her and letting her grab at him. Very cute.It wasn't to long until Jude needed to get his spot and be a part of it. Good job Cristina, everybody loves everybody.

Eating take 2! This time we are trying peaches!

Monday, March 14, 2011

I've been talking about it for awhile and today i just started to do it. Alice got her official first meal. We made her some rice cereal and wrapped her in a big bib/blankie and went for it. It was a big sucess! She wasn't sure what to think about it but she ended up eating about 3 or 4 spoonfuls.

Here she is giving it a go.

So this is a sneak peek of our new house. We aren't moving in till the end of the month so they haven't given us keys or anything but we have put down a deposit so it is for sure ours. Anyway we really are excited to show it off so we invited Rob and Jan to have a picnic in our backyard and to peek in all our windows. We had such a fun time talking and soaking up the sun. Can't wait for the end of the month!

One of Jude's favorite activities(and he asks for it all the time) is to go for a car ride. I will let him sit in the front seat, put on our hazards, and take off at the break neck speed of 2 miles an hour. Jude changes radio stations and adjusts the air conditioner. He turns on the lights and plays with the windshield wipers. He has so much fun! Today for the first time I let him drive. We went to an storage center parking lot and he did his thing. He was everywhere but he adorded it. He was so amazed that he could drive the car. He was spaz driving going left right left right, just all over the place.
And for all those worry prone people, this is a picture of our dashboard. I was going so slow that I didn't even register. Less then 1 minute a rotation. Which is good for me because there have been a couple times where if I had been going any faster Jude would have broken my car. He has thrown my car into reverse while I was driving. He has also taken out the keys while I was driving. Gonna break my car, good for me I was going slow.
