Jude came up to me with my big bag of cookie cutters and asked with all the sweetness of a cherry pie if we could do playdough. Sure baby let's do play dough great idea. Went to grab our playdough only to remember that last time I used it I had thrown it away due to it being super dried out. What to do. I figured I had a recipe for homemade playdough laying around. But then I thought if I am going to make something, then lets MAKE something. So I did Sugar cookies! My most favorite cookies ever and totally going to help a kid with his playdough fix. The kids helped me roll it out, cut it and of course they helped me eat it. Cute little puddins.

First day of preschool! Oh my goodness I was so nervous the day before. I couldn't even tell you why but I was having a hard time sleeping. We had been telling Jude about going to preschool and every day for the last week he would ask us. "Is it time for preschool tomorrow?" and we would say "No it's not today, but soon." And the day I finally got to tell him yes, oh I got butterflies. When we woke up on the day it was preschool the first thing Jude did was get his backpack. Still in his Pjs with 2 hours till it's time to leave and he is ready to go. After that two hours was up and it was time to head out the door Jude RAN the whole way to the preschool. We had to keep calling him back but then he would just run off again. When we got to school hejust walked right in and made himself at home. The teacher had a little cheklist for the parents to help with and then it was time for us to go. I was really sad that I wouldn't get to see all the things he was doing. I wanted to take pictures of him all day. He is just so big and grown up. I can't take it all in. But the time I get with just Alice is little so I am going to make it special mommy and me time so this should be good for everyone. MY BIG BOY!
I adore, love and cannot resist a carnival. And while the Saint George one is pretty standard it is also pretty fun. My favorite part is the petting zoo. The kids just go nuts for it! Cows, Horses, chickens, goats, donkies, and even a llama. We got to hold little chickies and feed all the animals. We even got to go into the pen with the other kids(the baby goats.) They were all so cute!
And then the carnival. Most years we are content to just wander. The rides are fun but a rip off. This year we played a lot of the carnival games (speaking of rip off) but the kids loved it. There was fishing, ball throwing, and hitting with a giant hammer. Jude was pretty sad about not getting to ride the big rides so I think this is the last year we can pull the walk around card. But the kids went home with tons of prizes and fun memories which doesn't make me sad at all!

Right across the street from where we were getting our snow cones was a huge construction site. Jude wanted to go look at the trucks so off we went for a wander and we went at the best time! They were getting ready to lower a 12,000 gallon drum into the ground. The pulled out a big crane, and had it all hooked up with chains. It was a neat sight to see. Jude was pretty impressed and to be honest I was to.
After the magic show our monkey boys found a window well on the side of the building and set up camp. They were in and out and hanging all about. It was so much fun for them that I was sad when we had to go. I am two steps away from running to Home Depot and building a PCP pipe jungle for them. Or I guess I could just come back here. 8)
