Let'sgo on a walk shall we. This is something we do quite a lot. The kids will be going stir-crazy in the house and I will be going kid-crazy when I decided that it is just time for an activity. We do this A LOT! The kids just love to wander and they think they are way to big for strollers. WHich I actuall prefer since it gives them time to use up that energy. While we try tomix up our walk the kids have a couple of station that they like to go to everytime. The first one is "the wall" at the beginning of our complex.  Jude and ALice love to twalk up and down it as much as we will let them.

Then there is a little hilss they like to run up and down (No pictures of that) Then there is a huge electrical box that they love to jump off of.  Also makes for some super cool sky photos.

After that we just wander. Here or there we just kind of let the kids guide us. Letting them climb, grab, investigate how they chose. It is such a special time to be out with them. They love it, we love it, it's just all around a relaxing break in the day.

Alice with some slammin big hair!

Jude just found a huge branch and was trying to replant the "tree"
And of course Alice is just as big and had to do what Brother does. She is such a copy cat.
 See. Just as big.
BLANKET FORT!!!! It was a lazy Saturday and we needed an activity but I was so not in the mood to step out into triple digit temperatures. So...spur of the moment blanket fort! The kids loved it. Crawling in and out and pushing on the top. Eventually we dragged in a bunch of pillows and our library bag and had a read-a-thon. So much fun.

This girl. This girl! She is so much fun and just so stinking cute, and she knows it. Oh how she knows it.  The other day she had done something naughty and had to be put in time out. I was watching her to make sure she wasn't coming out and she turns to me holds out her skirts in a almost curtsey. Then she smiles at me and simply states "Que." (Cute in Alice-ese) and walks away. She had just used her looks to get something she wanted. And I was laughing so hard that I let her! She knows she is so cute and she knows how to use it.

Right out the gate Alice thought she needed to taste the shaving cream. I told her not to put it in her mouth and that it was "ewwww." She thought that was just too funny and had to do it to.

Time for another sensory activity. I sliced up some garbage bags and taped them to the table. Then I put out sponges, cars, straws, paint brushes cookie cutters, etc. And then I covered the table in shaving cream. Suited the kids up in a bib and let them go. It was so much fun! They had such a good time squishing it between their fingers, and using the different tools to smash, draw, or play in the cream. And they even tried to eat some(thankfully they thought it was gross) it kept us busy for a long time and when they were done we tossed the kiddos right into the tub. Perfect activity.

Poor us, poor poor us. We are having a sick day. Jude has the worst of it, and I am fine (although I got it the following week) I am just on snuggle duty. It was just a day of movies, naps, and snuggles. Kind of nice, minus the sick part. But we are all better now so it's ok.

Jude and Alice jumping on the bed! They love this first thing in the morning. And I just love to watch their crazy hair flop around. What goofers!
